How we partner with you

Because we believe our best work is done through a collaboration between ISL consultants and your organization's internal change agents, most of our consulting engagements begin with a collaborative work session - a kind of organizational sensing, brainstorming session and focus group. We begin with the key players - those  individuals who will be most closely affected by the intervention and those whose cooperation is essential for the success of the program.

Half-day workshop session

This work session is designed to be one-half day in length and includes lunch, breakfast or dinner depending on the time of day the session is scheduled. In this session we work with key players across the functions of your organization who meet together for the purpose of:

  • identifying significant organizational issues
  • identifying concerns and opportunities
  • prioritizing areas for focus, and
  • beginning action steps

Prior to this half-day event, key individual participants will have completed pre-work for the purpose of jump-starting these discussions.

At the end of this half-day session your organization will have:

  • the beginnings of an action-learning process designed to address the identified areas of need
  • a preliminary action plan in place to begin the consulting engagement
  • key participants committed to specific goals with some momentum to move forward.

After the workshop

There is no obligation to continue to work with ISL following this half-day event. At this point your organization will have some significant work already done:

  • to provide to consultants of your choice
  • to shop for off-the-shelf programs to address your identified and prioritized needs
  • to continue the process using your own organizational resources to address the targeted areas, or
  • to allow the professionals at ISL to begin to immediately assist your organization.
